Happy Pride!
With the official monthlong celebration about to kick off, it's the perfect time for our Milwaukee Concert Pick to send some love to the awesome people of Pridefest. This year’s event boasts some amazing acts on all of the performance stages, so narrowing down my choices was a difficult task.
I am absolutely ecstatic about seeing Chicago native (now based in L.A.) J. Worra headline the Dance Pavilion stage at 10:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 3. Not only is Worra an incredible producer/DJ, she also brings a definite swag and sense of musical adventure to every performance. If your spirits need a lift for any reason, dance music is the sound to seek out, and J. Worra will deliver in a big way this weekend.
Beyond the headliners, Pridefest sets itself apart by calling on some of the most talented local DJs and artists to perform on its biggest stages. You'll find DJ Dripsweat (resident DJ for our own In The Mix) headlining Thursday, June 1 on the Dance Pavilion stage, as well as DJ Shawna creating an incomparable atmosphere for festival goers Friday, June 2. Also, don’t miss Felix Ramsey, the Milwaukee R&B sensation and talent that hit our State of Sound stage just a few weeks ago.
