Trinity Grace nabs 'Rising Star' in 2021 Radio Milwaukee Music Awards
That’s a wrap for the 2021 Radio Milwaukee Music Awards! We’re proud of the entire Milwaukee music community, and on behalf of the Radio Milwaukee staff, we congratulate all the nominees, finalists and winners.
In addition to the music categories in our annual award show, the RMMAs also recognize the work of individuals who are working to elevate the Milwaukee creative community in three special award categories: Humanitarian of the Year, Music Ambassador of the Year and Rising Star.
Meet this year’s Rising Star in the Community Story below.
Milwaukee-based artist Trinity Grace has been interested in music as a career since she was 13-years-old. She began recording and performing by the age of 15, and has even performed on stage at Radio Milwaukee for the Grace Weber’s Music Lab, alongside other teen artists.
Now at age 18, Trinity has two albums to her credit -- “Can’t Make Up My Mind” in 2019 and “Exposed” in 2020 -- plus many more tracks on streaming services. Her music dances between pop and hip-hop, and occasionally blends in hints of singer/songwriter, reminiscent of Maggie Rogers. Her writing is personal and relatable, touching on relationships, self-doubt and personal demons, particularly on her stunning track “I’m Scared.”
