The National's Matt Berninger to to write and star in movie about his life

Music news from The National, Foo Fighters, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar:

The National’s Matt Berninger is developing and starring in a TV show about his life. He’s writing the series with his brother Tom, his wife Carin and Australian filmmaker Trent O’Donnell.  Fellow bandmate and Eaux Claires Music Festival co-creator Aaron Dessner will also appear in the show. Production could start sometime next year.

Foo Fighters, Lorde and Kendrick Lamar were big winners at the 2018 Brit Awards. Foo Fighters beat out LCD Soundsystem and Arcade Fire for International Group, Lorde took home the International Female award over fellow nominees Alicia Keys, Bjork and P!nk, while Kendrick Lamar beat out Beck, Childish Gambino and Drake for International Male Solo artist. Lamar also gave one of the most interesting performances of the night, as he sang on top of a glass box containing a fancy sports car that Rich The Kid proceeded to smash with a bat.
