Backline is looking for Milwaukee-area musicians of any genre who want to do music full time and amplify their career and the city's music scene. Applications for the next program are live now until February 4, 2019.
Backline is looking for three artists/bands to participate in the Spring 2019 program of its 12-week accelerator, operated by gener8tor, in partnership with 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. The artists/bands selected will become Backline Fellows.
Each Fellow will receive a $20,000 budget grant to be used towards their career plan, which will be discovered during the Backline process.
The accelerator program will take place April 2 - June 28, 2019. Backline Fellows will spend between 20-40 hours per week participating in the accelerator program.
In it, artists will create new music and content with collaborators, studios, photographers, videographers and other industry experts inside and outside of Milwaukee. They will also plan out the next year of their career with the resources and guidance of the program.
Check out Backline's website for more information about the program and the application and selection process.
