One of 2021's breakout pop stars is coming to Milwaukee. Olivia Rodrigo will headline the Eagles Ballroom on Tuesday, April 19, as part of her just-announced 2022 "SOUR Tour." Gracie Abrams will open.
Given Rodrigo's blockbuster year, this show seems almost certain to sell out, so there may not be a public on-sale for tickets to this tour. Instead, Ticketmaster is having fans sign up through a verified ticket site. Fans can register at that link through Dec. 8 at 1:59 a.m., then cross their fingers and wait to see if they're invited to buy tickets.
According to Ticketmaster, while the process "does not guarantee that every fan will get a ticket, it does make the ticket buying experience fairer by ensuring only other fans are competing for tickets."
Rodrigo recently won New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, and was just nominated for seven nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, including “Record Of The Year,” “Album Of The Year,” “Song Of The Year,” “Best New Artist,” “Best Pop Solo Performance,” “Best Pop Vocal Album” and “Best Music Video." That makes her the second youngest artist ever score nods in each of the Big Four Grammy categories in the same year.
