Justin Vernon wants to visit with your friend who is unsure about voting.
Ahead of the Nov. 3 election, the Bon Iver frontman will be visiting residents in counties across Wisconsin, and Radio Milwaukee wants your help nominating them.
Today, on National Voter Registration Day, in partnership with Eaux Claires, we are announcing ”For Wisconsin,” a positive, action-based voting initiative with you/the people of Wisconsin.
If you know someone who is on the fence about voting — someone who hasn’t registered, and might not — you can nominate them on this page. Vernon doesn’t want to debate, or to preach. He just wants to visit. Justin might play a tune, or sing a song, but mostly he just wants to talk thoughtfully about why voting matters.
The visit will take place privately, at a secret location in the winner’s home county. It will be filmed for broadcast later. And if the person you nominate is chosen? You get to come along.
This week the opportunity will be available to residents in Eau Claire, but we’ll announce opportunities for residents in additional counties in the coming weeks.
