Milwaukee's Field Report have had a busy year. From making their "Summertime Songs" album here in Milwaukee, releasing it worldwide on a legendary record label, touring the continent performing it, making their network television debut and getting played all over on the radio, they are finally wrapping it up back in the city they started it in.
To close out the year, the band announced a homecoming event --Home for the Holidays... An Evening with Field Report and Friends at Turner Hall Ballroom on Friday, December 14.
Christopher Porterfield shared a personal message our 88Nine listeners to invite you to celebrate with them. Watch the video below.
Porterfield told us that the celebration will include "friends and family on stage and in the audience."
Along with a retrospective look at Field Report's oeuvre, you can expect to see friends and frequent collaborators helping each member of the band share their personal favorite holiday songs.
