Chris Porterfield is making local and national news thanks to his song, "Your Friend Tia" released by his band, Field Report. The lyrics tell a story about his 8-year-old neighbor, Tia, who has sickle cell anemia.
Field Report's record label did a "pay as you want" download of the song and helped raise over $1,000 for her.
