Milwaukee delivers some good news for all-ages music fans

On this week's episode, we're talking about some huge news for young music fans in Milwaukee. On Tuesday, by an unanimous vote, the Milwaukee Common Council licensing committee approved an ordinance that would make it much easier for small venues to host all-ages shows. The full council will take up the measure on Oct. 15.

These small bars will be able to apply for a performing arts center license, which would enable them to sell alcohol at all-ages events, marking a return to how things used to be in the '90s. We talk about what this means for the future of Milwaukee music in this week's episode.

Also on this week's episode, we discuss an unexpected event: The Milwaukee Public Library is hosting a rap battle. The finalists will be competing at Oct. 17. The event will be judged by some big names (including WebsterX and IshDARR) and will be free. The finalists are listed on the the library's website.
