Trails Aglow: Valentine’s Night

Take in the beauty and serenity of a crisp winter evening on a self-guided 1.5 mile illuminated trail. Supplies will be provided to create Valentine’s cards inside the Visitor Center and Coop. A wine bar and campfire will be located at the Coop and will be featured on the Trail Map that you will receive when you check in at the Front Desk. Hot chocolate (free) and Riveredge Apple Cider (available for purchase) will be available, too. Bring a thermos, tumbler, or other container to take your beverage on the trail. Snowshoes will be available for rental ($10/hour for non-members and FREE for Members).

Darwin Day at UWM’s Thomas A. Greene Geological Museum

This public outreach event celebrates the life and times of Charles Darwin. Schlitz Audubon Nature Center will have a learning table, along with other organizations and volunteers showcasing geological and biological specimens. Need an evening without the kids? Kids Night Out is for young people grades 1-6 and provides an opportunity for parents to enjoy an evening out while the kids have an awesome time at the Wisconsin Humane Society. This month’s theme is “Hearts and Hounds.” Help pick a shelter sweetheart and make a craft to decorate their suite, play some games and meet some animal friends! Please send a snack or dinner with your child to enjoy.
