Every morning throughout Summerfest 2025, we’ll deliver a guide that covers the day’s entertainment and how you can get in the gate free of charge. This is where you’ll find info about the AmFam Amp headliners, eclectic picks from our knowledgeable staff and the music lineup for the day (see the full 2025 Summerfest lineup here).
Today at the AmFam Amp
Def Leppard, Tesla, 7:30 p.m.
Def Leppard enjoyed a packed house the last time they were in Milwaukee as part of a 2022 co-headlining tour with Mötley Crüe (who themselves played Summerfest in 2024). The Journal Sentinel’s Piet Levy came away impressed by the performance and noted that one of the biggest members of the ’80s hair metal scene is “still in terrific form.”
Granted, those words were written more than two years ago. But it’s hard not to be swayed by Levy’s descriptions of dazzling guitar, “beastly” (in a good way) drums and frontman Joe Elliott winning “best vocals of the night.” Catch all of those qualities on display as Def Leppard headlines the Amp with opener Tesla.
Radio Milwaukee staff pick #1
Aly & AJ @ Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard, 8 p.m.
If you were a kid in the 2000s like I was, you probably fell in love with Aly & AJ while watching the Disney Channel, when the network played music videos for “Chemicals React” or “Potential Breakup Song” (the sisters wrote the latter at 15 and 17 years old, by the way). Almost two decades after their Disney departure, Aly & AJ’s musicality still holds up.
Just last month, they released Silver Deliverer, and its tracks are dream companions to a late sunset, a lakeside breeze and a cold beer. Forget song of the summer; make some time for Aly & AJ at Summerfest to hear the soundtrack of the summer you didn’t know you needed. They’ll be at the American Family Insurance House at 6 p.m. and the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard at 8 p.m.

Holy Pinto @ Generac Power Stage, 4:15 p.m.
During a festival full of acts from all over the world, it’s important to take a step back and recognize how much of Milwaukee’s local talent has made their way to Summerfest’s stages. Today, I want to tell you about one of those local legends: Holy Pinto, a Milwaukee music scene veteran who tirelessly pursues his art through inventive moves like the pre-pre-pre-release listening party he threw last August.
Through his project, Aymen Saleh masterfully spins life stories married to catchy tunes, a combination you can catch when Holy Pinto takes to the Generac Power Stage at 4:15 p.m.
— Ben Moyle
Radio Milwaukee staff pick #3
HYFIN After-Party @ Aurora Pavilion, 9 p.m.
— Kenny Perez
