Cedarburg Strawberry Festival
Downtown Cedarburg & Cedar Creek Park

An annual celebration of summer’s favorite fruit, Strawberry Festival in Cedarburg is bursting with small-town charm — and it’s packed with things for kids and families to enjoy. Here’s what makes it a sweet pick for families:

  • Strawberry everything, from shortcake to slushies to strawberry wine (for the grownups).
  • Youth Makers Market in Cedar Creek Park, where budding artists and creators in 12th grade and under get to show and sell their work.
  • Kids’ Area in Cedar Creek Park, featuring family-friendly entertainment, inflatables, a duck race, petting zoo, games, prizes and more at the Party in the Park.
  • The Feeding & Changing Station (W63N642 Washington Ave.) is a quiet spot for caregivers with little ones.
  • Lost Child Prevention Booth provides free safety wristbands and stickers to help keep kids safe.
  • Live music throughout the festival grounds.

Boerner Botanical Gardens

Milwaukee County Parks, in partnership with the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens, present free admission to Boerner on the last Thursday of every month from May through October. Don’t forget to explore Margie’s Garden while you’re there!

Bike Races: Tour of America’s Dairyland

The Kwik Trip Tour of America’s Dairyland features 11 straight days of premier road racing in 11 different communities throughout Southeast Wisconsin, including:

  • Thursday, June 26 – Centraal Bay View Classic in Milwaukee
  • Friday, June 27 – Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic in Shorewood
  • Saturday, June 28 – Cafe Hollander Otto Wenz Downer Classic in Milwaukee
  • Sunday, June 29 – Cafe Hollander Tosa Village Classic in Wauwatosa

Fun Before the Fourth

Get the USA celebration started early with these events happening this weekend:

  • Hartland Hometown Celebration (June 26-29) – Head over to Nixon Park for a carnival, live music and fireworks this Friday, followed by a parade on Sunday.
  • Family Fun Before the Fourth (June 28, 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m.) – This awesome tradition begins in Mequon with a parade at 10:30 a.m. at Main Street and Division Street. Follow the parade to Thiensville Village Park for musical entertainment, delicious food vendors, Little League games, two water ski shows, family entertainment, a main stage band and a fabulous fireworks show to end the night.
  • Fun Before the Fourth Splashdown (June 28, noon-2 p.m.) – Get ready for a splashing good time with the whole family at Elite Sports Club in River Glen. Bring your swimsuits and dive into an afternoon filled with exciting water games, giant inflatables, bubbles, crafts and endless fun for everyone. Purchase a wristband or tickets for select activities, food and drinks.

Celebrate Milwaukee’s railway history with a restored Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee interurban car, a historic Milwaukee streetcar, and the restored Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Merchandise Car 228.

Global Fest
Downtown West Bend

This brand-new street festival celebrates cultures and traditions from around the world through food, music, dance, performances, artisans and more. Hours are from 2 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday.

MLES Summer Public Ride Day
Milwaukee Light Engineering Society | 2620 Country Aire Dr. | Cedarburg
Sunday, June 29 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

MLES offers miniature train rides through scenic woods, powered by detailed, handcrafted engines. Tickets (wristbands) are $5 per person, and you can ride as many times as you’d like. Limited concessions and restrooms are available. This is the first of four Summer Public Ride Days being offered this season.
