The Tony Award-winning Best Musical that took the world by storm returns with its groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz that changed the face of Broadway. From its iconic score packed with soul, gospel, rock and ’70s funk to its stirring tale of Dorothy’s journey to find her place in a contemporary world, it brings a whole new groove to easing on down the road.

Kid Boogie Down’s Season Finale Dance Party
Bavarian Bierhaus | Glendale
March 28 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Stop by as Kid Boogie Down wraps up the season at the Bavarian Bierhaus with one last party before breaking for the warm weather. There will be a live music/video show by DJ Lukewarm complete with lights, lasers, bubbles and more, plus FREE balloon animals for everyone and Sugar Spun on-site with delicious fresh spun all-natural cotton candy available for purchase.

Kids Cheer Free: Brewers vs. White Sox
American Family Field
March 29 | 1 p.m.

For three select Sunday games in March and April, kids 14 and under can attend select Sunday games for FREE with the purchase of an adult Terrace Level ticket. This is your chance to see what the Brewers’ new Family Sundays are all about. And make sure you check out Milwaukee With Kids’ 10 Tips for Visiting American Family Field.

Monarchs and Caterpillars Ultimate Frisbee Showcase
MSOE: Viets Field
March 20 | 11 a.m.

At this preseason showcase event, the Milwaukee Monarchs and high school players from around the area will form two teams to compete against each other, alongside a special Blue vs Gold game featuring the Monarchs facing off against their teammates.


Bunny business

The Easter Bunny hops into Sprecher so you can have your photo taken and even get it put on a Sprecher Root Beer bottle while you enjoy the brewery tour Tickets are $17 adults and $10 for kids, which includes the tour, a visit with the Easter Bunny, a commemorative glass, beer samples if you’re 21+) and unlimited soda samples.

Big Bunny Celebration & Easter Egg Hunt

March 28-29 | 10:30 a.m. & noon

Embark on a journey with the Country Bunny and make it a day you’ll never forget. Bunny hop through the Big Bunny Tunnel, enjoy interactive storytelling, take a tractor train ride, join the egg hunt in an enchanted forest and meet the Easter Bunny himself. Plus, you’ll get to take home a goodie bag and enjoy a complimentary chocolate chip cookie with warm apple cider.

All weekend long, Saz’s State House will pull out all the stops to celebrate 50 years in business: live music under a heated tent, swag, games, food, drinks, giveaways, throwback specials and shuttles to the Brewer games.

Children age 4+, parents, and caregivers are invited to attend this FREE event featuring open swim, water safety stations and community organizations sharing info about kid- and family-friendly events and activities.

MKE REC’s Family Skate Night
Andrew Douglas Middle School
March 27 | 5-8 p.m.

Lace up your skates and grab your friends and family for a fun-filled evening on the rink. Milwaukee Recreation’s free Family Skate Nights are open to ages 10-14 (ages under 10 must be accompanied by an adult), and participants are welcome to bring their own skates. If you don’t have your own, rentals are available for free!


Growing goodies

Maple Syrup Family Day
Richfield Historical Park
March 28 | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

It’s the biggest and best celebration yet! Kick off the day with the 3rd annual Maple Syrup Contest, enjoy the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast (but save room for the maple sugar cotton candy!), try a variety of hands-on demonstrations and activities, meet farm animals and see how syrup happens by taking part in hands-on maple sap collecting.

Family Veggie Gardening Workshop
Urban Ecology Center: Riverside Park
March 28 | 1-2:30 p.m.

Grow fresh veggies together this spring! Families learn what to plant and when, decode seed packets, and start seeds to take home. Spend time outdoors and gain confidence to grow food all season long.
