Every morning throughout Summerfest 2026, we’ll deliver a guide that covers the day’s entertainment and how you can get in the gate free of charge. This is where you’ll find info about the AmFam Amp headliners, eclectic picks from our knowledgeable staff and the music lineup for the day (see the full 2026 Summerfest lineup here).
Today at the AmFam Amp
Cody Johnson w/Jessie Murph, 7 p.m.
The Amp’s headliner endured a somewhat rocky end of 2025 as Johnson ramped up to release new album Banks of the Trinity. A sinus and upper-respiratory infection resulted in a burst eardrum, which was followed by more welcome news: the birth of his third son.
A three-month break to heal and settle into his bigger family allowed Johnson to shape the album, which he says is “the story about my childhood. … It was like this portrait showed in my head of memories that honestly I'd forgotten. It just took me back home to Sebastopol, Texas, where I grew up on the Trinity River. I had tears in my eyes when I heard it for the first time.”

Sudan Archives @ Aurora Pavilion, 7 p.m.
Sudan Archives never delivers an underwhelming live show. The first time she caught my attention, she was playing the violin upside down while singing, and I couldn’t look away. That’s the kind of fearless creativity she brings to every performance.
On Natural Brown Prom Queen, she proved that she’s an artist who refuses to follow anyone else’s blueprint, pairing bold musicianship with unforgettable visuals. Follow-up album The BPM introduced her chrome-plated alter ego, Gadget Girl, adding another layer to an already captivating stage presence.
Watching Sudan Archives perform feels less like a concert and more like joining a joyful community in which laughter, dancing, and genuine connection are part of the setlist. She has a rare ability to turn an audience into a family.

Radio Milwaukee staff pick #2
The Revivalists @ Uline Warehouse, 9:30 p.m.
It might be cliché, but The Revivalists sound like the start of summer to me, which is why my personal kickoff party for the season will include the band’s set at Uline Warehouse.
With their sound originating from New Orleans, The Revivalists play the kind of genre-spanning music you’d expect from the region: indie rock with flavors of soul and funk. Breakout song “Wish I Knew You” has been sung in Milwaukee before, with the group stopping by venues like the Riverside Theater and being part of the Summerfest lineup a few times, most recently in 2022.
Their return is sure to be another mash-up of dance party and flow state, with extended versions of their well-known songs — otherwise known as one big psychedelic jam session. The eight-piece lineup creates a wave of sound to match their numbers, creating a unique and almost whimsical vibe to help you ease into the official summer season.

Radio Milwaukee staff pick #3
Elderbrook @ Generac Power Stage, 9:30 p.m.
I'm especially excited to catch Elderbrook at Summerfest because he represents a side of electronic music that blends songwriting, live performance and dance culture in a way that feels genuinely unique. Whether it's "Cola," "Something About You" or his newer work, he has a gift for creating tracks that hit emotionally and on the dance floor.
That balance is a big reason why artists like Elderbrook fit so naturally into the world of In the Mix, where we celebrate electronic music as both an art form and a shared experience. Seeing him bring his live show to the Generac Power Stage will be one of those Summerfest moments that remind me just how broad and beautiful the electronic music landscape has become.
