HYFIN Anti-Gala: Harlem Nights

The 2025 HYFIN Anti-Gala: Harlem Nights is a celebration of one of the most transformative periods in Black artistry and culture, the Harlem Renaissance.

Held Aug. 14 at The Fitzgerald, this year’s event connects the creative brilliance of Harlem’s golden era from 1918 to 1937 with the cultural renaissance taking place in Milwaukee today.

We’re putting on the finishing touches right now, including the food you can dig into that night. The folks from Anomaly Catering are cooking up honey-kissed fried chicken and peach cobbler, while Vegan Soul has jalapeno cornbread and sweet potato pie shooters in the works. And those are just a few items from the menu they’re prepping.

On top of that, we’ll bring you entertainment from Brew City Soul, Grace Weber and B~Free; show off the latest creations from Odessa School of Fashion; and honor five community members for their exceptional contributions.

The evening begins with exclusive early access at 6 p.m., followed by general admission from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the style and energy of the Harlem Renaissance through fashion and celebration.

The HYFIN Anti-Gala is more than just an event; it's a tribute to the cultural pioneers of the past and a recognition of the legacy being shaped today.
