Based in Madison but a Milwaukee icon forever, Graham Hunt joins the Afternoon Drive this Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. for a DJ Takeover. He’ll curate the entire hour of music, giving you a peek inside his Paul Westerberg meets Guided By Voices influence.
With beginnings in the legendary Milwaukee project Midnight Reruns, which went on to open for The Replacements, Hunt brings an eclectic lens to his grungy, skate rock, hardcore-allied sound that seeps with catchy nostalgia. He’s in the middle of a trilogy of solo albums that included his last release, Try Not to Laugh, that dropped in December 2023.
Hunt returns to Cactus Club this spring after his headlining performance at Beet Street last fall. You can catch him playing his old stomping grounds March 2 alongside Dusk, Misprints and Innuendo.
