Little Dragon has become one of 88Nine's most consistent, respected and universally loved bands. On their latest album, Slugs Of Love, they bring their usual distinctive blend of soulful pop, electronic and R&B. I'm so excited 88Nine is adding the latest single, "Tumbling Dice," to the rotation this week.
It's a song that asks us to savor the time we have and to “cheers for this moment, for this life,” while reminding us to “celebrate every breath; we will be gone in a flash.” Once again, the band has managed to deliver a project that embodies the full range of their diverse individual musical influences, with Yukimi Nagano's vocals always finding a way to caress your brain while delivering meaningful lyrics.
