How can I become a member of Radio Milwaukee?

It's pretty simple: Visit our membership page and choose the giving level that is right for you! 

How much do I have to donate to be considered a member?

A donation of any amount makes you a member of Radio Milwaukee! However, we have some pretty great thank-you gifts at certain giving levels, all of which you can check out on our membership page.

I stopped receiving or have never received emails from Radio Milwaukee for my membership. How can I fix that?

Because we use an email communications platform, emails often go to SPAM, promotions, social or other folders in your email account. Please check those folders first! If you still can't find an email from us, please reach out to membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

I accidentally unsubscribed from your email list, how do I get back on it?

Reach out to our Development Team at membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928. We can get you resubscribed pretty easily!

I signed up for a membership but haven’t gotten my gear yet. What should I do?

Gear arrives within 4-6 weeks (sometimes faster)! If you have waited 4-6 weeks and still haven’t received your gear, reach out to membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

Can I purchase a gift membership?

Yes! Please reach out to our Development Team at membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

Is my membership tax deductible?

Yes! Radio Milwaukee is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your membership is tax-deductible, less the fair market value of any benefits you receive. If you would like a receipt, contact membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

I'm doing my taxes and need verification of my donations. How do I get them?

Members who donate over $240/year, either through a one-time gift or a sustaining gift, will receive a tax letter at the end of January. Receipts for donations are also sent to the email address associated with your account. If you need additional information or cannot find your receipts, please contact membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

I need to update my credit card information. How do I do that?

How do I create or log in to my Member Account?

Radio Milwaukee doesn't have an online member portal. If you have any questions or concerns about your membership, please contact membership@radiomilwaukee.org or 414-892-7928.

When does my membership expire?

If you gave a one-time gift, your membership will expire one year from your donation date. If you're a sustaining member (that means you give monthly), your membership will not expire until you decide you would like to cancel. Each year, you'll get an email during your anniversary “season” (Spring, Fall or Year-End) to choose your membership goodies and make any changes to your membership! 

How do I cancel my sustaining membership?

You can cancel your sustaining membership any time by emailing membership@radiomilwaukee.org or calling 414-892-7928. NOTE: If you donated for a specific premium such as concert tickets, dual memberships, gear, etc., please fulfill at least 12 months on your sustaining membership. Radio Milwaukee is a nonprofit organization and counts on member support!

I'm already a sustaining member. Do I need to call into Membership Drives to renew my membership?

Nope! You'll receive an email from membership@radiomilwaukee.org ahead of your giving “season” (Spring, Fall or Year-End) to choose your gear or make any changes to your membership. If you have any questions about your giving “season,” please reach out!

I want to add Radio Milwaukee as a beneficiary in my legacy planning, how do I do that?

Head over to radiomilwaukee.org/legacy to learn about the ways you can name Radio Milwaukee as a beneficiary and ensure Radio Milwaukee remains a part of our community for years to come.

I want to donate my car, boat, motorcycle, RV, truck, trailer, etc. to support Radio Milwaukee. How do I do that, and does that make me a Radio Milwaukee Member?

We use a third party, CARS, to handle our cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers, boats, etc. donations! You can learn more by visiting this page. And, yes, donating through CARS means you're a Radio Milwaukee member for one calendar year from when we add you to our donor database!

I think my employer offers matching gifts. How do I start that process?

We encourage you to take a copy of your acknowledgment letter to your HR department and request a match for your contribution (Radio Milwaukee’s EIN number is 20-1257939). HR can help you with the next steps!

Will Radio Milwaukee give out my mailing address, phone number or email address?

NEVER! Your information stays with us.

The only exception is if you win a prize or, specifically, a subscription to another service as part of a membership drive or contest. In that case, they will pass your necessary contact information to that partner so you can receive your prize.
