Warm days in Milwaukee are few and far between. But when it does finally get nice outside, we have to take advantage and spend some time outdoors. Here is a list of some of the most scenic outdoor rooftop bars and restaurants to help you make the most of the city's brief summer.
Ugly's Pub - 1125 N. Old World Third St.
A Milwaukee nightlife staple, Ugly's Pub located on Old World Third Street is a popular place for dancing. The bar and restaurant also has one of the city's most beautiful rooftop patios, with plenty of comfortable soft seating and a great view of the Third Ward.
Café Benelux - 346 N. Broadway
One of the city's most prominent rooftop patios can be found at Café Benelux located on Broadway. This well-lit rooftop space is surrounded by other Third Ward favorites including the Milwaukee Public Market and Milwaukee Ale House.
Red Lion Pub - 1850 N. Water St.
A bit of a hidden gem in Milwaukee's rooftop bar and grill scene, Red Lion Pub on Water Street offers a unique British-inspired menu and theme without having to "cross the pond." Red Lion Pub is also a popular spot to watch British Premier League games. For those who'd rather play soccer than watch it, the patio has a soccer pool table (they call it "poolball.")
The Outsider - 310 E. Chicago St.
If it's height you're after, then head to The Outsider. Located at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel on East Chicago Street, this swanky bar is set nine stories above the Historic Third Ward and advertised as an "elevated social experience." The view is not to be missed and neither are their fire pits, comfortable outdoor couch seating and blankets.
Brothers Bar & Grill - 1213 N. Water St.
The perfect place for drink deals and nightlife, Brothers also has a rooftop patio and second level balcony for those warm summer nights in Milwaukee where you just can't justify being inside.
Good City Brewing - 333 W. Juneau Ave.
An instant hit since its opening this winter next to the Fiserv Forum in Downtown Milwaukee, Good City Brewing has a spacious outdoor rooftop patio and balcony with its own upstairs bar as well. The brewery's new location also boasts 16 different beers on tap as well as stone fired pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and much more.
Braise Restaurant and Culinary School - 1101 S. 2nd St.
Braise offers seasonally inspired menus featuring fresh and local Wisconsin products. Enjoy this unique dining experience on an even more unique rooftop space, and don't miss the special culinary classes and events that Braise hosts throughout the summer.
