Milwaukee Night Market will be back on Aug. 18

Milwaukee's popular downtown market will return this year under new management. The event, founded by NEWaukee, has been taken over by downtown's Westown Association, which will host its first newly re-titled Milwaukee Night Market on Wednesday, Aug. 18, from 5-10 p.m.

The free event on Wisconsin Avenue features a variety of vendors, art and food trucks. For now the August date is the only market Westown Association has scheduled; NEWaukee had previously held the event four times a summer.

“Westown Association acquired the Milwaukee Night Market from NEWaukee in 2021,” the event's website explains. “NEWaukee, a Milwaukee engagement agency, originally founded the Milwaukee Night Market in summer 2014, with the goals of creating a safe and interactive place in downtown Milwaukee that draws diverse residents and visitors and changing perceptions of downtown. Since 2014, the Milwaukee Night Market has grown to attract more than 60,000 attendees each year.”

The market is looking for vendors. If you are interested, you can apply here.
