You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in Milwaukee taller than 6-foot-11 Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, but a duo of local artists have captured his superhuman stature in a huge new downtown mural.
Milwaukee-based artists Mauricio Ramirez and Tone Gómez completed the three-story mural at 600 E Wisconsin Ave. over the weekend, just in time for Bucks late-round playoff push.
The pair spray-painted the Greek Freak over a span of about two weeks.
Ramirez and Gómez are going even bigger for their next Milwaukee project: a six-story mural of the late Tejano star Selena on the face of the Taxco Apartments, still under construction at S 5th and W Pierce streets in Walker's Point. Work is expected to begin on the Selena mural in July, Ramirez says.
