Your voting guide for today's election

The major statewide election is today, and it's the first presidential primary in Wisconsin history in which voters will be required to show a photo ID.

This is the election to be prepared for. -- Neil Albrecht, Executive Director, Milwaukee Election Commission

With record turnout expected, officials at the Milwaukee Election Commission are prepared -- and expecting -- to answer questions from voters.   The city has a website where you can:

  • find your polling place
  • check your registration status
  • review a sample ballot
  • confirm your photo ID is valid

The site also allows you to enter your address and find specific information in your ward.

Neil Albrecht, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Election Commission, joined me in studio to answer other commons voting questions.  We discussed details of the new photo ID law, same day voter registration, and important information for students planning to vote in Milwaukee.
