Maybe its the people, the food, the beer or the arts -- why do you call Milwaukee home?
That's the question we were out asking at the NEWaukee Night Marketlast week.
Last week's market was the first of four "night markets" planned for the summer. The event drew huge crowds to the outdoor festival between 2nd and 4th on Wisconsin Ave.
Dozens of local vendors stood behind tables and tents with items for sale. Food stands lined the streets too, with a few small beer tents along the way -- but refreshingly -- alcohol didn't seem to be the focus of the evening.
Tables with t-shirts, candles and coffee mugs were plentiful, too, and live street performers drew crowed and great selfie opportunities.
It just felt like Milwaukee.
