Urban Spelunking: Brady Street's Engine Company No. 6 fire station

If you've been to Brady St. on Milwaukee's Lower East Side, you've probably walked past the longtime firehouse right off the main drag on Franklin Pl.

The building seen today was built in 1946, but a fire station has always been on the site, the original dating back to around 1875.

In fact, firefighting is so steeped in that section of the neighborhood, there's another longtime institution next door -- Hosed on Brady, a fire station themed bar.

OnMilwaukee's Bobby Tanzilo visited the building for his Urban Spelunking column.  He joined me in studio to talk about his visit to the fire station (it involved a trip down the fire pole).
