Showcasing Milwaukee's musical talent: Hear Here Presents

Have you see those NPR Tiny Desk Concerts? Or perhaps KEXP Live?

If you haven't, the premise is basically a band comes through, performs a mini-set on camera, then, it's shared online for the rest of the world to see.

The look and feel of the shoot is intimate and artistic, and it offers a chance to see bands break away from the stage setting and bring their art to another location.

And here in Milwaukee, an arts group is producing their own interpretation of those live mini-concerts, captured in Bay View and broadcast to the world online.

Click the player below to hear our interview with Ryan Holman, founder of Hear Here Presents. Then, check out the latest video release featuring the music of GGOOLLDD!

Earlier this Fall, Hear Here marked its one year anniversary, and to date has produced more than 15 video sessions with local and national bands. Another 8 are in the can, Holman said.

The videos are shot in the Lincoln Warehouse, mixed and shot live, tapping into a full cast of Milwaukee creatives and producers.

All the sessions are then published on Holman's social channels, including a dedicated website home to all of the videos. Holman also runs music discovery blog with his girlfriend, Jenny, called "Hear Ye!"

The most recent release puts you in the front row with Milwaukee band GGOOLLDD (just voted Band of the Year in the 2016 Radio Milwaukee Music Awards).  Check out the video below.

For much more about Hear Here, check out an extended interview with Holman and 88Nine's Digital Content Coordinator Amelinda Burich.
