Nearly a year after they first closed their doors to the public in the wake of Covid-19, four of Milwaukee's major museums will begin reopening next month.

In a joint statement today, the Milwaukee Public Museum announced it will reopen on March 4, the Harley-Davidson Museum and the Milwaukee Art Museum announced they will reopen on March 5, and Discovery World announced it will reopen on March 27.

The museums will work around safety plans approved by the City of Milwaukee, which include mask requirements, capacity limits and online ticketing.

In a statement, Milwaukee Public Museum President Ellen Censky wrote that “Though we’ve all made successful forays into the virtual realm, being onsite is something that has been greatly missed. We’re extremely excited that we can partner together and reopen to give the community a variety of experiences to share safely in-person again.”
