Community members are organizing multiple vigils today in Waukesha, a day after an SUV drove through the city's Waukesha Christmas Parade, killing five and injuring more than 40.
Association of Waukesha Congregations will host a candlelight vigil in Cutler Park at 5 p.m., while Waukesha's Frame Park will host a vigil at 6:30 p.m. Carroll University and St. William Catholic Church have also planned their own vigils.
Waukesha County Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County have created a fund to support families impacted by Sunday's tragedy called the United for Waukesha Community Fund. People can donate here.
In a statement today, Gov. Tony Evers ordered Wisconsin flags to be flown at half-staff "as we continue to pray for the Waukesha community and the kids, loved ones, and neighbors whose lives were forever changed by an unthinkable tragedy last night."
