As promised, I have the second playlist in an ongoing attempt to connect you with far flung sounds and incredible music from interesting places. With the Olympic action getting started today in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, I thought it might be handy to have a mix of Brazilian music not from the Rio Soundtrack.
This playlist was partly inspired by a Facebook thread I was tagged in; a post from a DJ buddy of mine who has a gig coming up and a request for a sound he's not as familiar with. The comments section was actually funnier than hell as people threw out all sorts of strange recommendations; and that's okay, not many around here have been hooked on the Brazilian sound like I have.
