"Make Milwaukee": Week 3 | An Introduction from Faythe and Cortney

Listen: In our third week of Make Milwaukee, we handed control of the Milwaukee Creative Community's Ark over to Faythe Levine and Cortney Heimerl, two people who I won't try to describe in a sentence (they do a wonderful job of introducing themselves in the interview below). On a Tuesday afternoon jam-packed with art, driving, and interviews, we piled in Cortney's Jeep and spoke with 9 amazing folks in around 4 hours. We've branded this year's art campaign as "Operation: Make Milwaukee," (a "Mission Impossible" kind of thing) and this one truly felt like we were on a mission. Listen as Cortney and Faythe introduce themselves and get into how they went about the task of plucking 9 movers and shakers from the sea of talent in Milwaukee: Listen and check the blog all this week for the pieces. Here's a complete list of our participants who you'll meet throughout the week -- Susan Ready Buss of the Alice Bertschy Kadish Weaving Center, Leah Parkhurst of Rustbelt Fiberwerks, Kelsey and Sean from the Jackpot Gallery and the Eagle's Nest, Alyssa Schulte as Neon Danger, Vanessa Devaki Andrew of Madam Chino's Look Nook, Tina Poppy of Violetville Vintage, Janelle Gramling of Little Ocean, Nick and Andy of Listening Party Records, and Austin Dutmer, the drummer for Jaill.
