Listen: With each person I interviewed to about their efforts leading up to the November 2nd election, I posed them a question that cuts straight to the core of this week -- "Why vote?" While the question itself is straightforward, effective answers are not obvious. Fortunately, I had the good luck to chat with some pretty clever and thoughtful folks:
"If it comes out of the kitchen and you don't tell her what you want, then you're just going to get this huge surprise and you might be disappointed."
"An elder once told me that if you're not at the table, you're on the menu."
