I ran into a former Pius XI High School student of mine while producing a story on the Educating and Graduating Latino High School Students Conference. Tatiana Joseph (THEN Tatiana Jones) is a doctoral candidate in UW-Milwaukee's Urban Education Program, and is shorter than I am (which many find hard to believe).
She discusses her days at Pius XI and the fine line she traversed between the dominant culture and her own Latino culture; her sense of identity, and her role as an educator and doctoral candidate. Si se puede!
