This weekend in Chicago, the online music site Pitchfork will be holding their annual Pitchfork Music Festival. The festival will feature live music from Tune-Yards, Thurston Moore, James Blake, Curren$y, Das Racist, Neko Case and others.
In honor of the festival Pitchfork partnered with eMusic to release a free digital sampler of music from the bands performing this year. The sampler features 29 tracks including music from Fleet Foxes, Toro Y Moi, Cut Copy, Kurt Vile, Zola Jesus and others. I think you need to create an eMusic account to grab this free virtual bag of goodies, but it might be worth it. Tickets for the festival on Friday and Saturday are still available; however, tickets for Sunday are sold out.
