Jamie Washam, resident of Washington Park,turned me on to the Washington Park Library. I met with Brian Williams-VanKlooster (Manager of both the Washington Park AND Atkinson libraries) and Jeffrey Gold (Librarian III) about this environmentally friendly structure and what it has to offer. I visited the library twice for this story, and the second visit entailed a wonderful experience with kids and yoga. Washington Park library offers up educational programming for kids and families, a beautiful setting, and you can even literally check-out a laptop if you need one.
