What's up with all the Bollywood music? The Milwaukee Film Festival is what's up with it and Sound Travels has been getting all Desi with the groove. More vintage classics from the vaults, keeping the mood right for the bevy of Indian films playing at the Festival.
Today, my pick for the festival is actually a split; between Bhopaliand Raju. Bhopali is a documentary about the continued damage and irresponibility of Union Carbide in it's role in the the 1984 gas leak in Bhopal, India that continues to have ramifications in modern India. Raju is another interesting film. It's about a German couple that tries to adopt a child in Kolkata only to create a new dimension to the problem by being there in the first place. Check the trailers and the times, they're both playing tonight...
And here is the music from the noon show...
Kishore Kumar "O Saathi Re"
Asha Bhosle "Dum Maro Dum (live)" Hare Rama Hare Krishna
Botown "Churaliya" The Soul Of Bollywood
Anuradha Paudwal "Bahut Pyar Karte Hain" Saajan
