This music and food blog was one of the motivating sparks that set in motion our event. To look for inspiration, I've spent quite some time on this site over the past few days. They are even offering up one of their PARING BOXES as a prize in our SOUNDBITES Raffle.
Today I came across an article on The Clash's "Guns Of Brixton". This was a feature in their Served Three Ways section.
In the article, Turntable Kitchen says...
"The Clash’s “Guns of Brixton” is probably one of the greatest rock songs ever written. Anyways, it is certainly one of the best rock tracks ever fused with another genre (considering it is maybe more reggae that rock)."
I agree....
So I today played Calexico's version.
