Last night at the Oscars, the documentary, Undefeated picked up a golden boy for best documentary feature. What does Puff Daddy and Milwaukee''s I'm Not A Pilot's Cellist Peter Thomas have in common? Each of them played a role in the Oscar-Winning documentary, "Undefeated."
Sean "Puff Daddy Combs is the executive producer of the tear-jerking documentary about a high school football team in Tennessee. Peter Thomas, who also plays in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, contributed his cello skills to the film's score. The entire film score was produced and written by Daniel McMahon and Miles Nielsen. They asked Peter to contribute cello to some of the music for the film including the piece called "With God's Help."
The film, which was screened at last year's Milwaukee Film Festival as part of their members-only screenings, is directed and edited by Dan Lindsay & T.J. Martin. "Undefeated" tells the story of three underprivileged student-athletes from inner-city Memphis and the volunteer coach trying to help them beat the odds on and off the field.
