Last week you learned about the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Youth Violence Prevention Initiative and how the Holton Youth & Family Center plays a key role in keeping Milwaukee’s youth safe, healthy and strong.
"A youth leadership Council has been created to help youth develop their natural leadership skills so they can help their peers to lead healthy lives. Youth leaders will be empowered to be catalysts in preventing violence. The VPI strives to promote community recognition of positive youth actions. In addition, the VPI will foster youth community service opportunities and an increase in educational and employment opportunities."
