So many films, so little time should be the unofficial tag line for this year's Milwaukee Film Festival. This is day 8 of the festival, and I wish I have taken my vacation during this time so I can see every film I wanted to see. Today, I have three picks for you including the ever popular The Milwaukee Show.
The Milwaukee Show at The Oriental @ 7PM
The Milwaukee Show is probably the most popular screenings at the festival. The Milwaukee Show features 10 short film produced and directed my Milwaukeeans. From a stop-animation short called Cat Waco to the epic video for the band Altos to the 2012 Collaborative Cinema short The Vampire Formerly Known As Dracula, there is something for everyone.

Charles Bradley: Soul Of America at Landmark Downer Theater @ 5PM
Charles Bradley: Soul Of America is part of the Sound Vision series at the festival. It is one of the film I'm most excited to see. It is an authentic rags to riches documentary about soul singer Charles Bradley. From being homeless to getting signed at the age of 62 to one of the country's premiere indie label, Charles Bradley's journey is completely American.
Earning himself an opening spot on tour for Sharon Jones, the biggest artist in the Daptone stable, Charles delivered the most impassioned performances of his life. Coming up during one of the worst economic downturns in history, Charles' heartfelt songs about tragedy, the downfall of the American dream, and hope for a better world resonated with audiences and the impossible dream he chased for 48 years was starting to become a reality. But, while experiencing his first taste of success, Charles couldn't escape the adversity that had followed him since birth. When the oppressive mortgage on his 87-year-old mother's house threatened to cost him everything, Charles hit a new low.
Teddy Bear at Fox Bay Cinema Grill @ 8PM
Teddy Bear is my first fiction pick of the Milwaukee Film Festival. It is a very cute, but very humorous romantic film. Teddy Bear tells the story of a kind and sensitive pro-body builder named Dennis, and his journey to find true love, while trying to please a demanding mother. Dennis travels all the way to Thailand to find his love, which leads to several comical moments.
