Every Saturday night,Milwaukee DJs take over our airwaves for the Saturday Session. In the month of October, DJ Ledroc Smith, Kruser and T. Fares stopped in. Each DJ brought his style to the night which made every Saturday this month different and eclectic.
DJ Ledroc Smith came in at the end of September. Mixing contemporary pop songs and hip hop together, he keeps the beat flowing from one mix to another. During hour one, he brings Bust Down Radio which he considers to be breaking the political barriers between conversations by using music.
From the October 13th session, Kruser brings underground electronic music with high levels of drum and bass. He also is the owner of Locked Down Productions in Milwaukee, bringing local DJs to local venues. Kruser also runs DubFunk, a monthly event at Bad Genie which is meant to spread dubstep out into the city.
T. Fares brought a mix of techouse and techno with a bit of disco towards the end of October. His mixes are a collection of older songs together with new songs. High levels of bass in his mixes give a feeling of a house party without the party itself.
