That's right. After last summer's Song Reader book of sheet music, Beck is back in the studio making the music himself. Today the singer/songwriter released a new song titled "Defriended." It's a synth-heavy tune with distant looped vocals featuring some sparse acoustic sounds that definitely works to expand Beck's various collection of musical styles. This song also comes with the news that Beck is currently working on two albums, although it won't appear on either one: an acoustic one as well as a proper studio follow-up to Modern Guilt. At least that's what an industry insider told Rolling Stone. You can check out the new tune below. Interestingly enough, it's the first post on the artist's new YouTube Channel, which was just created yesterday.
