When Malian guitar master Lobi Traore of Mali died in Bamako in 2010, he had a few CD's on the international market. The thing was none of em were as good as the music he made. And to be fair, some of the most electifying performers have difficulty getting the magic down in the studio. It's apropos that this recording comes from one of Traore's less glamourous gigs.
