If you're not familiar with the Red Hot series of music compilations to benefit charities built around AIDS research and awareness don't worry, there's still time. And the latest star-studded endeavor is built on a platform of music created by one of the AIDS virus' most famous victims: Fela Kuti. Last year on Sound Travels, I introduced you all to the 1st single from the Red Hot + Fela compilation and I now have not only the second single, but a talso the full revelation of collaborations for the album as well as a track list.

As we started the midday, I played the first song from the album "Buy Africa" performed by Congolese rapper/singer Baloji who revises the English lyrics with his native French and takes Fela's music back to its highlife roots. Quite effectively it seems. I can't wait to hear how Fela sounds in the hands of TV On The Radio, Macklemore, Rubblebucket and My Morning Jacket...
