This holiday, Radio Milwaukee has teamed up with Hunger Task Force to become a donation station, doing our part to help feed hungry families in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have collection boxes throughout our new home at 220 E Pittsburgh Ave.
But, once the food is collected by Hunger Task Force, where does it go? We visited one food pantry that relies on the Hunger Task Force to feed their community. The Helping Place, located on the lower level of the Solomon Community Temple Churchat 3295 Martin Luther King Drive, provids free food to anyone in need in the 53212 zip code. The Helping Place is open Thursday and Friday each week, from 10am to Noon, and serves about 600 people in need each month.
