Fans of AMC's Mad Men or the Netflix drama House of Cards will recognize one actor in a film showing Wednesday night at the Milwaukee Film Festival.
Whitefish Bay native Sam Page co-stars in Serial Daters Anonymous, a romantic comedy shot entirely in Milwaukee and making its film festival debut in the Cream City Cinema series.
Page, who played Joan's ex-military boyfriend in Man Men and Connor Ellis in the popular streaming political drama, appears alongside Louise Linton in this comedic commentary on modern dating.
The film begins when Linton's character, Claire, finds out about her cheating fiancée at the worst possible time -- on their wedding day. After a messy split, she goes on a series of one-night-only dates with a string of suitors, turning to her blog afterward to pick apart their every move.
But the plot takes a turn when she meets Kyle, played by Page, who slows down her string of vengeful blog posts. The rest . . . well, you'll just have to see for yourself.
Tickets are still available for Wednesday night's screening at the Oriental Theatre. The film begins at 4 p.m.
Serial Daters Anonymous is directed by Christopher Carson Emmons in association with the Milwaukee-based nonprofit film studio, Film Freed.
