An interview/conversation with King Tuff
King Tuff is a garage rock band that signed to Sub Pop records in 2012 and has released two albums since, King Tuff and Black Moon Spell. Both albums have featured a distinct sound driven by guitars and lyrics that bring the listener into a safe space that front man Kyle Thomas creates. His most recent album, Black Moon Spell, focused sharper on dark occult images balanced with a sense of humor and affection.
Last week Kyle dropped into our studio and we had a conversation about Satan, the balance of good and evil, his relationship with his parents, and the role of humor in music. I would listen for his dry laugh itself. Listen to the whole conversation in the Soundcloud link below and make sure to check out the song he picked for 5 Songs We Can’t Stop Listening To.
