Holiday lights twinkle in three downtown parks

It's hard not to notice how much more festive Downtown Milwaukee is looking these days.  Three parks have been decorated with unique light displays, and shimmering chandeliers now hang over Wisconsin Ave.

The displays are part of the annual Holiday Lights Festival, made possible by Milwaukee Downtown Business Improvement District.

In a public lighting ceremony last week, officials flipped the switch to illuminate Cathedral Square Park, Zeidler Union Square, and Pere Marquette Park.  And each park has its own theme.

From now until Dec. 28, you can stroll through the parks on foot, or catch a "Jingle Bus" for a guided tour.   40-minute tours are available Thursday through Sunday between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.   Read more about the tours here.
