January 4, 2015 marked the final day of the 'David Bowie Is' exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. I was lucky enough to see this comprehensive exhibit a few weeks back along with a performance by John Langford and Sallie Tims paying tribute to Bowie later that night at the museum. Chicago was the only American city to show this one-of-kind exhibit.
A day before the closing of the exhibit, the museum invited Grammy-nominated St. Vincent to discuss the importance of David Bowie and his influence on St. Vincent's work with Pitchfork's Jessica Hopper. A variety of topics were discussed like Bowie's favorite costume, favorite song and more. If you weren't one of the lucky few to see this discussion in person, someone was kind enough to record it and upload it to Youtube. Watch it below.
