Group brings kids together through soccer
The Milwaukee Soccer Development Group (MSDG) is spreading their love for soccer across the Greater Milwaukee Area, one playground at a time. By organizing soccer themed events, they are raising funds to provide soccer equipment and scholarships to the youth of Milwaukee. James Moran, founder of MSDG grew up in England, but now calls Milwaukee home. "We play the game all over the place," Moran recalls. "We played in parks, on the concrete. In 2015, we will transform an unused tennis court in Milwaukee into a soccer foot court".
Moran says soccer brings people together. Thanks to a friendship that started on the soccer field between Moran and Mike Kroeger, a 4th Grade Teacher at Ralph H Metcalf Elementary and Middle School, MSDG dropped off dozens of brand new soccer balls to Kroeger's students right before winter break.
