The nominations for the Oscars were just announcedand one of the films nominated features music composed by two members of the band Phox. The film is an animated short called The Dam Keeper and it is nominated for Best Animated Short.
The Dam Keeper, an original animated short film by feature animation artists Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi, tells the tale of a young pig encumbered with an important job, and the meeting of a new classmate who changes everything.
The music was composed by Matteo Roberts and Zach Johnston from Wisconsin's Phox. Check out the gorgeous trailer for the short below, and congratulations to Matteo and Zach! Don't forget you can catch Phox peform at The Pabst Theater on Friday, January 16.
