What began with a singular box of donated bread has blossomed into a thriving nonprofit organization, serving more than 100,000 meals a year to Milwaukee's hungry.
Just One More Ministry takes donations from area caterers, restaurants and grocery stores that would normally be wasted and packages them into a meal for four. Then, those meals are delivered to people in need through its network of partner churches.
JOMM is protected by a Wisconsin statute known as the Good Samaritan Law, which allows it to accept the food donations and distribute the meals on an "emergency" basis, provided it follows food safety regulations. It is always accepting food donations and relies on charity to fulfill its mission.
